Art in the Park festival brings artists, music to Toms River

TOMS RIVER – 50 artists, nine bands, kids’ activities, and food trucks too.

All this and more will be part of the Toms River Artist Community’s third annual “Art in the Park” event, scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 in Huddy Park on Water Street. 50 artists, nine bands, a poet, several non-profits and two food trucks will be at Huddy Park for the event. Politicians play Picasso for a day in downtown Toms River

TOMS RIVER – Local officials were able to channel their inner artist Monday when they helped paint a portion of a mural to be displayed downtown.

Ocean County woman is now $10,000 richer

What would you do with an extra $10,000?

That’s exactly what I asked Elizabeth Paseler.

“I haven’t really thought about it,” she tells me. “I’m just so honored to be recognized.”

The Forked River woman just won the Engage Toms River Mural Project, an initiative sponsored by the Jay and Linda Grunin Foundation with the close collaboration of the Toms River Business Improvement District and the Toms River Artist’s Community.
